An Open Letter To Teddy Ruxpin
September 16th, 2005 11:30am
Dear Teddy Ruxpin, How have you been? I guess the real question I should ask is "Where have you been?".

I've missed you. I remember those magical childhood days of placing cassettes into the slot in your back and watching your mouth move to Chipmunks' songs or to Ray Steven's 'The Streak'. Sure, you prefered to tell tales of you and Grubby in your flying boat but it was really funny watching you say, "Boogedy Boogedy" in Ray Stevens' voice.

Please forgive me. Is that why you left? I haven't heard from you in ages and neither has anyone else. The world has changed. Worlds of Wonder, the company that produced you, has gone bankrupt. Martha Stewart was placed in prison. Also we are at war with Iraq. I'm not placing all the blame on you, Teddy, but seriously . . . take some responsibility for your actions.

I am writing this letter in hopes that you can forgive any wrong I or any other child of the 80s may have done to you. Please come back. We need you now more than ever. There is a whole generation of kids who haven't experienced ripping your mouth off and putting it back on upside down. you pal, Brad ;
