Happy Christmas! |

Sugarplum fairies are dancing in my head. It's quite nice actually.

Christmas is a mere handful of days away! I can smell it (and it smells tasty). It also sounds great too. Christmas music is a very special brand. Christmas albums always make me laugh/smile. There's just something so kitschy about it (usually). Who knew the cast of Dragnet felt the Christmas spirit so strongly that they decided to record an album?

There are lots of great places online where you can stock up on great christmas songs:

You can find a cool download from this album over at Spiked Candy Blog.
While most holiday albums are pure kitsch - some aspire to more and some achieve. I want to highly recommend Sufjan Steven's Christmas Albums. There is a sincerity here that's missing in so many other albums and other artist's work.

Sufjan, if you didn't know, is an artist I hold near and dear to my little heart. He is, in the most sincere use of the word, amazing. I really blew it not seeing him live this year. Next tour: I'm there with bells on.
I hope everyone's holiday is like eating a piece of magic pie. Magical and tasty.;
